When it comes to lipstick, neutral shades are my favourite. While I love a nice dramatic lip as much as the next girl, there’s nothing like having a good, reliable neutral in your makeup bag. That’s where one of my favourite lipsticks comes in, the Too Faced Melted Matte Queen B.

While there are a lot of great lip colours out there, there’s something about this one that I just love. It’s easy to use, the colour is grande and the quality is top-notch!

Too Faced Melted Matte Queen B Review

I am all about those neutral lip colours, and if I can get them in a matte that will stay on all day we’re absolutely golden. Enter the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick Queen B. It creates an honest neutral with a slight purple tinge.

It truly provides a classy wear that is neutral enough to not go off the rails, but has a tinge of colour so you can tell that you’re wearing it. If you want it to be a tad bit more bold, pair it with a lip liner.

However, this lip colour can be a tad bit pricey. For a travel-sized one (0.10 Fl Oz) you’re looking at spending around $18 USD. That’s out of budget for many of us beauty lovers. And, if I could change one thing about it, I would go with an applicator that’s less harsh.

Yas, girl!

This lip colour has A LOT going for it, but some of the highlights include:

  • True matte finish
  • Power to stay on all-day
  • Cool but neutral tone
  • You don’t need a lot to get the job done
  • Great for any situation

Hell, nah!

There are very few complaints I would make about this, but a few of them are:

  • It’s clearly pricey
  • It can be a little dry on the lips
  • The applicator is a bit harsh
  • The smell kind of sucks

Too Faced Melted Matte Queen B Dupes

With the Melted Matte being a tad bit pricey, I thought we’d take a look and see if we could see any viable dupes. Good news, there are a TON, so I picked out my favourite five to share:

NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Soft Matte Lip Cream in Toulouse

The NYX Professional Makeup Matte Lip Cream in Toulouse is a great dupe to the Queen B. It’s a slight bit of a darker brown, but bears a gorgeous shade that is still on the neutral scale. It’s a smooth, elegant colour that is lightweight. But to top it all off, it’s both cruelty-free and you can get yours for less than $10 USD.

L’Oréal Paris Signature Matte Lip Stain in I Rule

Another great dupe choice is the L’Oréal Paris Matte Lip Stain in I Rule. Also weighing in at under $10, this has a slightly more pink colour than the original but still a great neutral quality. This is a lightweight, comfortable wear that touts being able to last all day long and comes with a gorgeous matte finish.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Veronica

While the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Veronica isn’t exactly a cheaper version of Too Faced’s Queen B (it’s slightly more expensive), I had to include it on my list because of it’s slight metallic colour. It provides full coverage with a metallic tinge but still has the classic matte finish.

Yas, girl!

  • Long lasting
  • Goes on easy
  • True lip stain

Hell, nah!

  • Expensive
